Greatness In Motion

William Shakespeare said "Be not afraid of greatness; some are born great, some achieve greatness, and others have greatness thrust upon them." Some people may not be able to distinguish greatness or understand it when it is visible. Fortunately for our generation, we have the distinct privilege of having one of our greatest leaders be the President of the United States. Though President Obama is criticized even when he makes history or does something amazing; some of us still acknowledge the amazing stride and progress that one man has made in a country that was falling apart.

Within these past three years in office, The President has accomplished numerous task; some of which his predecessors were unable to do or were unwilling to do. According to the National Bureau of Economic Research, the recession began in December 2007, 13 months before Obama took office in January 2009. The bureau found the recession officially ended in June 2009, five months after Obama took office. The economy has grown in every quarter since then. Though many people are still with out jobs, the first step would be to stabilize the economy so that businesses can afford to hire new workers. That is why Obama authorized the US Auto industry rescue plan, the Housing rescue plan, US financial and banking rescue plan and the $789 billion economic stimulus plan.

President Obama has made many efforts to ensure that people get a chance to achieve an education and work on an even playing field . During Obama's time in office, he has released funds for new school construction and high-speed, broadband internet access to K-12 schools. He also instituted enforcement for equal pay for women. He is the first President to pass universal health care for every American as well as expanding the SCHIP program to cover health care for 4 million more children.
When it comes to the safety of the United States and the war on terror, Obama has made many notable efforts. Beginning with the withdrawal of US troops from Iraq and ended the previous stop-loss policy that kept soldiers in Iraq/Afghanistan longer than their enlistment dates. The prison at Guantanamo Bay has been phased out, as well as the secret detention facilities in Eastern Europe and else where have been closed. US now has a no torture policy and is in compliance with the Geneva Convention standards. Who can forget about the death of Muammar Gaddafi, Osama Bin Laden and 22 of the 30 most wanted terrorist in the world.

Going into an election year President Obama has proved to be arguably one of the greatest Presidents in history. Peter Drucker said "Effective leadership is not about making speeches or being liked; leadership is defined by results not attributes." If that's the case, then President Obama has proven that he is an amazing leader. The benefit of having Barack Obama as President is being able to be alive to witness greatness in motion.

"The Baby Mother"

There is no force, entity or creature in the world that can amass the explosive and destructive nature of "The Baby Mother". Not even a school of great white sharks, a pride of lions or the worlds most deadliest snake can stand against the share carnivorous, compulsive and manipulative nature of "The Baby Mother". In the wild, spotting the elusive Baby Mother before they evolve into one is like seeing an ant in a field of grass; but it can be done. If you find yourself cornered or trapped by "The Baby Mother", your pretty much dead. But ladies and Gentlemen, after conducting numerous hours of observation, many clinical trials and pain staking experiences, I have compiled a sure fire method to elude the fearsome "The Baby Mother".

The first thing that every man and some females need to know and learn about "The Baby Mother" is to have an exit strategy. When it comes to dating one, you either must "die and be a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain". If not, you'll "go from the favorite to the most hated". Trying to hold on or save the relationship because of the child is the noble and honorable thing to do. But there is nothing noble or honorable about the emotions of an angry and emotional baby mother. Love is obsolete once your girlfriend/wife evolves.

Second, you must remember to stay calm threw all encounters. "The Baby Mother" reacts and responds to any opposition and bullshit even if their is none there. So know that any smart comment will force "The Baby Mother" to attack viciously.

Never bring up the past; "The Baby Mother" will do enough of that for you. Never, I repeat NEVER bring your new girlfriend around "The Baby Mother" unless she has one already. The sight of seeing you happy with someone else only enrages "The Baby Mother" and leaves her with no other choice but to try and embarrass you and or try to fight you new mate.

The most important thing to remember is to be a good father. Usually that will negate all the drama that "The Baby Mother" has (but not always). Just know that a lot of "The Baby Mothers" anger comes from you leaving and not wanting to be with her any longer.

Please be warned that there is no such thing as fighting crazy. Stooping to someones level only brings you to a world that they are more experienced in. Sometimes, its not the lier who should be blamed but the person that believed them. So keep this in mind, follow these rules and you should be able too survive an encounter with the deadly, the dreaded, emotionally unstable nature of "The Baby Mother".

"What Happened to the Greatness"

"They never miss you till your dead or gone", is what the song said. But on this morning the message resonated with me. When the song ended, a radio commercial came on about the lack of inspiring, and thought provoking material in the world. I instantly felt that the statement was untrue but as I thought about it, I realized that it was justified. I write but haven't written in a long while, I abandoned my post. Imagine the most captivating experience with no one around to see it. Hearing the most obvious lie but the person that is telling you it is saying it with conviction. A blog without any blogs; that doesn't even sound right. I left my audience looking at my blog as disparaging; I'm telling you to "Appreciate the Greatness" but I'm not even giving you anything to appreciate. Well............. I'm sorry; I felt like I needed to give an explanation. The thing is I took a "writers break". Through that break, life caught up with me. During my hiatus......................

I've been running a million mile marathon and just realize that I was jogging in place.
I've been reading and hearing-on the radio what some call "Blogging with an Amazing Grace".
I've been building an Army of Conquerors, to conqueror those that settle for mistakes than perfection.
I've been talking politics to republicans to see if I can get them to vote logically in the next election.
I've been a monster in a jungle of monsters, a loiterer in a room of honor, and held my sobriety in a group of sponsors.
I've been appreciating my family so much more, it feels like they understand me better
I've been taking the lords advice about being prepared for bad weather.
I've been in LOVE with life, she's my new favorite girlfriend.
I've been staying calm and cool while standing in the middle of a world-wind.
I've been chasing all my aspects that have been alluding me.
I've been in the basement improving me, waiting for the right time to take the blindfold off and see, so that I can make history.

Well, that's the breakdown of it; mostly. But, I'm back on my job, fresh from intellectual vacation. Back with more blogs, poems, more thought provoking topics, and more pieces about ideas your thinking about but have no one to exchange them with. This is a new beginning for creative materials but a continuation of the Greatness you already Appreciated; watch my moves ..................................

The Root of Evil

Martin Luther King, Jr said "There is some good in the worst of us and some evil in the best of us. When we discover this, we are less prone to hate our enemies." But life is a little more complex and evil transcends further than just realizing that L.I.V.E. and E.V.I.L., are reversible.

"The Root of Evil" is a lack of education.
So does that mean that America is Evil? As a country, our politicians don't favor education. When budgets are being made and money is needed from somewhere, eduction usually gets the short end. How many teachers did you hear about being fired and schools being closed down in order to save money. With countries like Asia & India investing heavily in there children's education, only makes you wonder why American politicians don't want America's kids to be smart & intelligent also.

"The Root of Evil" is ignorance without substance....................
A lesser man would say pussy is the root of evil. A rehabilitated man may say that drugs was his root of evil. But ignorance lies in the blaming of anything but yourself. To beat ignorance you must provide education. Then being ignorant is useful because you can then use ignorance sometimes to release your truth. Even an asshole has a valid point if you can get past the fact that they are an asshole.

"The Root of Evil" is a lack of money.
What about the all mighty dollar? I've seen the power of a dollar force a person to take a soon to recover person off of life support before there body could sustain the medication. Just for the words in a Will that would give them the all mighty dollar. With so much evil thats committed in the honor of the dollar, it's amazing that on the back of the dollar it reads "In God We Trust". But What does God have to do with a dollar bill. I trust God already, I'm worried about those that have the power to combine God and wealth in one worthless item and make it meaningful.

"The Root of Evil" is the war between your heart and your mind.
The truth of the matter is that "The Root of Evil" is ourselves. The man in the mirror, so to speak. Our heart, our wants, our lust. Each new generation of children brings in a chance of newer, brighter thinking. I believe that with a proper school education and the knowledge of societal ignorance. Most people would go for something they love rather than the amount of money they will get from it.

Death of a Scorpio

Scorpio's are the most intense, profound, powerful characters in the zodiac. We are like the volcano not far under the surface of a calm sea. We are the only people in this world with sight in a  land of blind cyclopses. Scorpio's have a dark and mysterious style which, combined with an irresistible personal magnetism, creates a fascination in members of the opposite sex. It is said that Scorpio's sometimes pose penetrating eyes which make our shyer companions feel naked and defenseless before us. But it is a pleasant moment to be with us. We are thoughtful in conversations, dignified, and reserved, yet affable and courteous. But for those of us who are particularly perceptive, you will be aware of the harnessed aggression, the immense forcefulness, magnetic intensity, and often strangely hypnotic personality under the tranquil, but watchful composure of Scorpio.

With all that said, do you see why I love  my zodiac sign? So how do you think I felt when I found out that after a years time, I will be dead? Killed in my prime, abbreviated and or cut down in the peak of my celebrity. According to astrologers, there are thirteen zodiac signs not twelve. In reality there has always been thirteen signs. Though when astrology began, the thirteenth sign Ophiuchus (the snake holder) was removed because the sun only traveled through the star constellation "Ophiuchus" for 19 days. Less then any other constellation, so it was discontinued. Though not used and majority of people are unaware of the thirteenth sign, the symbol of the snake holder was adopted as the symbol for modern medicine.

As it stands now, I will be reincarnated into a Virgo (The Goddess of Fertility and Agriculture). So does that mean I will be a different person, will my personality and charater change? Will I look at situations with a new perspective? Will the advice that I give to my loved ones loose there effect, be inaccurate or unwelcomed. Will I finally make the money that I know I should be making or the money I deserve. Will my friends notice a difference or will I be a better person? Will I still be a walking inspiration to some, a ray of light to those that walk in darkness. I wonder why I seem to always attract and fall for women of a certain type. Will I lose my sexiness and mystery and appeal to a different type of female? Will I lose my hunger for sex or become a better lover? With a new sign governing me, will I finally learn my lesson in love. Will I finally meet that girl that can crack the plexiglass that my heart is sealed in. It's going to feel like a second chance when it's really a first impression. The worst feeling of any situation is the unknown.

So I stand here with less than a year to live. There is no second opinion, no surgery, no chemotherapy can save me. How long have I been on life support? Will anyone miss me when I'm gone? Will they remember me when I return? I'm starring death in his eyes, dreaming of a new lease on life. I will be dead soom, let's just hope I only have to die once; I just wonder if i will be remembered for what I did as a Scorpio or for what I will do as a Virgo!

2010 SUCKED!!!!!

2010 SUCKED, was what a friend said to me. Angry and stressed; with a slight aura of vulnerability in his eyes, he said "I had more of my family die, lost my job and found out that my girlfriend was cheating on me.""The only positive was that I finally was able to have that threesome with those two Brazilian twins; but other than that, 2010 SUCKED." I had to laugh at him cause that fool never had a threesome, let alone with two Brazilian twins, but who was I too judge. In between laughing at him, sighing, then laughing some more; I was able to muster out to him "2010 was Great, if not funny as hell".

How could you forget about Joseph Stack, the guy who flew a small plane into the IRS building on February 18, in Texas. Doing that didn't help the mans taxes but you have to applaud any person brave enough to go up against the IRS, let alone fly a plane into there building. How about former President George Bush going on TV and saying that the worst moment in his presidency was not Katrina, was not 9/11 or even having two shoes thrown at him in a press conference. His worst moment was Kanye West saying that "George Bush does not care about black people." How could you forget about the Ipad, 3D TV and the XBOX Kinect, with an honorable yet hesitant mention to Four Loko. Obama finally getting health care for everyone, Tiger Woods dumb ass for getting caught cheating by leaving his name on a voicemail. But the "You Big Dummy" award goes to Mel Gibson for being crazy enough to tell his daughters mother that he hopes she gets rapped by a pack of niggers," on tape.

I think the worst moments was the earthquake in Haiti and the Gulf Oil spill. I can't forget the celebrities we lost this year; Gary Coleman, Dennis Hopper, George Steinbrenner, Leslie Nielsen and Teena Marie too name a few. But you can't have the good with out the bad so I think its a fair compromise.

So I told my friend that 2011 will only be as great has the energy that you put into it. You have to love the inconsistency that each year holds. But have the drive too proactively strive too make it better. This fool laughs at me and says "There you go with your after school special talk. What you need to do is get dressed and come with me on this date I have with these two Asian twins tonight." I almost died laughing; "now there Asian huh.........................."
